fun in the hammock

Road rash, part 2

Front wheel washed out on last Thursday's night ride, and the trail surface cheese-grated my left leg. Well, on today's Marathon Nationals (Firecracker 50) course pre-ride, my handlebar clipped a tree, my bike stopped, and I kept on going! Bounced off the trail on the same leg, tearing off the same scabs.

We had an excellent time. Helen ran a great race to finish 2nd, not too far behind Darcy. Alina had a great time with Grandma and Granddaddy. Ruby enjoyed the river and only kept me up at night on Friday night! More to come later.

We had 2" of wet sloppy snow overnight, after yesterday's all-day
rain. Wet snow is great for snowman making. Her name is Angela, if you
ask Alina.
