We've been enjoying some an unusually long stretch of high pressure, which means mild temps and tons of snushine and Colorado bluebird skies. So much so that the Town of Breckenridge's Public Works department has been proactively scraping down the 1-4" of snowpack on all of the town streets, including my neighborhood. So, we now have dry asphalt streets around town. So I hopped on the longboard and made some great runs down Bridge Street yesterday. Very cool. I had given up on skateboarding til April, so I had to dig it out of the attic. Also with the fair weather, Alina got to ride her bike on the streets, in February!!
Spoke to my dad, he was at home on his first official day at home since his retirement. I wonder how that felt, probably pretty damn good. Hopefully in about 30 years (or more), I can experience that.
Helen went for a run today and said it was the mildest and calmest day of the entire winter. While it may not be great weather for business, it is fantastic weather for personal fun. And with the sun setting later each day, we actually have about 30 minutes of light after work. Pretty cool.
