He wasn't a direct hit on the New Orleans metro area and my parents house, but they still might have some wind damage. Won't know til they return, which prob won't be til Fri or Sat since they won't have power restored any earlier.
On the flip side, here in Breck, fall is here. While it was sunny and warm for Labor Day, after work I went for a quick mountain bike ride. Descending back to the house it was pretty chilly with some cool weather rolling in. now they say a chance of snow up above 11,000'.
So hurricane conditions today in New Orleans, and now maybe a chance of snow on the mountain tops here in Breck. September for you.
