new ride

took the new mountain bike out for a quick 15min spin up French Gulch last night. wow it is amazing. climbs just like the old bike, but now offers a full 5.5" of suspension front and rear. feels like i'm on a la-z-boy recliner. the bike came in at 27.0 lbs, which is awesome considering the amount of travel and parts spec. the real test comes Sunday in Fruita, but I am sure I will like it. Pics coming this afternoon. As with any new toy, it is too nice and too new to stay in the garage. For now it is in the house next to the dining table, so I can admire it while it's clean, and while it's still winter here in Breck. Unfortunately it will prob have to live in the garage after this weekend.
