yesterday was a great day on my new bike. We picked up Scott & left Summit around 8:30 Saturday night. Roads were super icy until I-70, then mostly wet til Vail. We rolled into Fruita around 11:30, then got into the hotel room. After inhaling some of the continental breakfast at the hotel around 6, we rolled out to meet Seth up at 18rd. After plenty of coffee the sun beat on us and it warmed up nicely. We were on the trail by 8:15. The 5.5 felt super nice right out of the gate. The 5.5" of suspension felt awesome, and the fork was incredible. Hydraulic brakes are great. Just need to dial in the contact point of the pads a little further from the bar. We covered Zippety, Joe's Ridge, Frontside, Prime Cut, Chutes , Kessel. Great weather too. About an hour into it, I had just shorts and a short jersey on. What more could you ask for, mountain bike riding in Colorado in mid-March at about 65 degrees!
