rainy ride

I went up the Side Door to the moto single that tops out on the summit of Mineral Hill. This picture was taken from the steep rocky summit, at about 10,800'. Looking down to the valley floor, you can see a Bristlecone Pine in the foreground, and what looks like a river down in the valley is actually French Gulch Rd, about 1,000' down. Pretty cool perspective here. And the north side of this ridge is a very healthy forest of mixed fir and engleman spruce and some old-growth pine. the rain and clouds didn't help the crappy lens on my cell phone.
